Publii makes publishing fun again

I've been a CMS user for decades now, and have cycled through a whole bunch of wonderful approaches: Wordpress, Ghost, Grav, Processwire, Concrete5 and Typo3.

I tended to stick with Typo3 because I had learned in in 2003 and used it to run a SaaS business, but I found that there was a general feeling of heaviness when working on the system. Opening the editor felt like a commitment, and I found much of the SEO bits were left unpopulated. That's a me thing, probably because my life and needs have simplified significantly since my web hosting days.

Enter Publii. Holy cow, this is light and fast and fun to use. Desktop static site generator. Basically, desktop publishing.

Beautiful templates, barebones workflow, and lightning fast static pages. I can use a shared directory for my files and open with any number of computers regardless of OS or configuration. I love this thing, and I'm moving hundreds of pages over to Publii.

Why? Because publishing can be spontaneous again. Thanks, Publii.
