Summer’s End
These are commonplace, often-overlooked objects found as summer fades. They are beautiful in their own way, and sometimes it takes a very high-resolution scan to actually see the intricacies of nature.
I keep thinking I should add more: throw a layer of paint on the background, maybe stitch in some copper wire or something to make it more ’fine-arty’, but the reality is, this would do an injustice to the object itself.
So, I won’t add my touch, it would only detract. My contribution is to see, to select, and to do everything I can to give the object the dignity of a pure rendition.
