Restoring a burl attaché

A few years ago, I came across an Italian wood attacé case. While it was in rough condition, I sensed a real beauty waiting to come out.

Overall, it needed restoring oil, a light sand, and a new leather interior pad. There are some heavy gouges from what looks like a collision with a subway turnstile or closing door, but I left those because it would be obvious if filled.

I forgot to take ’before’ pictures, but here’s the final result. I use it to store my large format photo negatives.
